DECLARATION OF PECUNIARY INTEREST
REPORTS & RESOLUTIONS a) 2016 Spook Walk - Use of City Streets and Police Assistance (R) BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council does hereby support the 2016 Spook Walk Event, to be held on October 21st and 22nd, 2016 and authorizes the following requests: ? To reduce Mahoney Road to one-way traffic from Caron Road to the intersection of Mahoney Road and Sandy Falls Road and Sandy Falls Road from the intersection of Mahoney Road to Jaguar Road. (as per the attached map) ? That parking be allowed on both sides of the street from Caron Road to the Spook Walk entrance and that parking only be allowed on the east side of the street from the Spook Walk entrance to Jaguar Drive. ? That the Maintenance Department provide 6 wooden barricades, at a cost of $30.00, on October 15th, once payment has been received. ? That the Public Works Department provide 2 portable "one-way" signs and 1 "do not enter" sign on October 15th. ? That Police assistance be provided at the intersection of Sandy Falls Road and Jaguar Drive. ? AND FURTHER THAT liability insurance in the amount of $5 million be provided, naming the City as additional name insured. AND FURTHER THAT a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Parks & Recreation, Timmins Fire Department, Timmins Police Service and Public Works.REPORTS & RESOLUTIONS
Charland Road and Bertrand Road Upgrades (R) BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council does hereby approve that John Wlad & Sons Construction be awarded the tender for the upgrades to Charland Road and Bertrand Road, in the amount of $ 28,959.28 plus HST.
2017 Connecting Link Program (R) WHEREAS Council for the City of Timmins does hereby declare that the submitted application meets the requirement of MTO's Connecting Link Program as described in the Program Guide AND WHEREAS Council for the City of Timmins does hereby declare that a comprehensive Asset Management Plan including the connecting link in Timmins has been completed and publically posted AND WHEREAS Council for the City of Timmins does hereby declare that the municipality will comply with the conditions that apply to designated connecting links under the Highway Traffic Act to ensure the safe and efficient movement of provincial traffic and AND WHEREAS Council for the City of Timmins does hereby declare that the project put forward in the application will be completed and the milestones met as started in the application and BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council for the City of Timmins does hereby declare that the application is complete and factually accurate.
2017 Budget Dates (R) BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council does hereby approve the 2017 tentative budget dates as presented.
Wallingford Road Drainage and Erosion (R) BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council does hereby approve issuing a request for proposal for the Wallingford Road drainage and erosion investigation as per the attached report.
