MOTIONS OF COUNCIL 6A. Street Closure Resolution re: Hometown Hockey BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council for the Corporation of the City of Timmins does hereby approve a request by Hometown Hockey for the closure of McIntyre Road from Thursday November 24th at 6:00am to Sunday November 27th on 12:00am, as per the attached map. AND FURTHER THAT a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Timmins Police Service, Timmins Fire Department, Public Works Department, Parks & Recreation and Timmins Transit. 6B. Kenogamissi Rural Road Request Whereas the Council of City of Timmins received a request from a private land owner on Kenogamissi road which is a private road located on Crown land, and Whereas the City of Timmins Rural Road Policy provides that the City of Timmins does not have any obligation to maintain or even classify this type of Road, and would only consider doing so if the road was brought up to an acceptable standard as defined by the city of Timmins, and Whereas private land owners have been maintaining that section of road in an effort to maintain their access to their property, now Be it resolved that the City of Timmins enter into a private maintenance agreement with the affected landowners to continue maintaining the private road at the owners expense and that the City shall contribute $ annually towards the cost of the maintenance.
