Noise Exemption for the Stars & Thunder Festival and Fireworks THAT Council does hereby approve a request by the Stars & Thunder Committee for an exemption to the City of Timmins Noise By-law 2006-6339 for the week of the Stars & Thunder Festival to be held from June 24th, 2017 to July 1st, 2017, at the Hollinger Park (Fred Salvador Park). AND FURTHER THAT an exemption to the City's noise By-Law 2006-6339 from June 24th to June 30th be from 11:00pm to 1:00am to permit this community festival. AND FURTHER THAT an exemption to the City's noise By-Law 2006-6339 for July 1st, 2017 be from 11:00pm to 2:00am to permit this community festival. AND FURTHER THAT a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Timmins Police Service, the Timmins Fire Department, the Public Works Department and Timmins Transit.
Street Closure Request re: Pride Parade BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council for the Corporation of the City of Timmins does hereby approve a request by the Timmins Pride Committee for closure of streets for the Timmins Pride Parade (see attached parade route) to be held Saturday, June 10, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. AND FURTHER THAT a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Timmins Police Service, Timmins Fire Department, the Public Works Department and Timmins Transit. AND FURTHER THAT liability insurance in the amount of $5 million be provided, naming the City as additional named insured.
Reduce Brunette Road to a One Way Street for Stars & Thunder BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council does hereby approve converting Brunette Road from the intersection of Algonquin Blvd to Second Ave into a southbound one-way street for the designated 12 days period in order to accommodate traffic and pedestrian flows for the Stars & Thunder Festival.
