FIRST AND SECOND READING OF BY-LAWS a) Resolution BE IT RESOLVED THAT the following by-law be given first and second reading: 2017-8078 2017-8081 2017-8082 2017-8083
MOTIONS OF COUNCIL Street Closure and Noise Exemption re: Kayak Festival BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council does hereby approve a request for an exemption to City of Timmins Noise By-law 2006-6339 from 11:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. for the 9th Annual Great Canadian Kayak Challenge & Festival on August 25 and 26, 2017, at the Mountjoy Historical Conservation Area Park (former Participark). AND FURTHERMORE THAT Council does hereby approve holding of a fireworks display on August 26, 2017, to be launched from the north end of the Mountjoy Historical Conservation Area Park (former Participark) at 10:00 pm in conjunction with the 9th Annual Great Canadian Kayak Challenge & Festival. AND FURTHER THAT Riverside Drive be closed from Fogg Street to Norman Street from 8:00pm to 10:30 pm to accommodate the fireworks. AND FURTHER THAT a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Timmins Police Service, the Timmins Fire Department, Public Works Department and Timmins Transit.
Tax Write Offs re: 263 Wilson Avenue BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council approve the write off of uncollectible taxes for 263 Wilson Avenue in the amount of $25,141.60 so that we can re-advertise and re-tender at a lower minimum price of $1,000.
2017-8078 - Tax Extension Agreement re: 5808 King Street BE IT RESOLVED THAT BY-LAW 2017-8078 being a by-law to enter into a tax extension agreement for the property located at 5808 King Street be given third and final reading and be enacted and passed.
2017-8081 - Agreement with Team Eagle Ltd re: Purchase of a runway de-ice/sand truck BE IT RESOLVED THAT BY-LAW 2017-8081 being a by-law to enter into an agreement with Team Eagle Ltd for the purchase of a runway de-icer and sand truck in the amount of $233,700.00 plus HST be given third and final reading and enacted and passed.
2017-8082 - Lease Agreement with Air Creebec re: Aircraft Parking BE IT RESOLVED THAT BY-LAW 2017-8082 being a by-law to enter into a lease agreement with Air Creebec respecting aircraft parking at the Timmins Victor M. Power Airport be given third and final reading and be enacted and passed.
