a) Adoption/Receipt of Minutes Resolution BE IT RESOLVED THAT the following Minutes of Timmins Council be adopted as presented: Minutes of a Regular meeting held April 9, 2019. b) Correspondence Letter from the Knights of Columbus re: Toll Booth Letter from Porcupine Dante Club re: Festa Italia Cultural Days Letter from Tom Vlaad re: Summerfest Celebration c) First and Second Reading of By-Laws RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED THAT the following by-laws be given first and second reading: 2019-8321 being a by-law to authorize an agreement for biennial inspections of bridges and culverts for the City of Timmins 2019-8322 being a by-law to authorize the purchase of a new fire truck 2019-8323 being a by-law to authorize a lease agreement with EACOM Timber Corporation 2019-8324 being a by-law to authorize a collective agreement with local 434 2019-8325 being a by-law to authorize a collective agreement with the Timmins Professional Firefighters association 2019-8326 being a by-law to authorize the collection of the Downtown Timmins BIA Levy.
MOTIONS OF COUNCIL Summerfest Celebrations 2019 THAT Council hereby authorizes the closing of the following streets on July 20th and 21st, 2019 for the Annual Summerfest Celebrations: Bruce Avenue from Moore Street to Main Street and he Municipal Parking lot adjacent to Jake's Bar & Grill from 6:00 a.m. (Saturday) to 6:00 p.m.(Sunday) AND FURTHER THAT Council provides at no charge two road closed signs and four wooden traffic barricades for the street closures AND FURTHER THAT Council hereby supports an extension of A.G.C.O. Licence for Permanent Establishments (Jake's Bar and Grill) in order to accommodate this annual Summerfest Celebration AND FURTHER THAT an exemption to the City of Timmins Noise By-law No. 1983-1998 until 2:00 a.m. be permitted AND FUTHER THAT the organizers provide the Corporation of the City of Timmins with liability insurance in the amount of 5 million dollars and naming the City of Timmins as co-insured for street closure and A.G.C.O. extension. AND FURTHER THAT the organizers be responsible for clean-up on these streets immediately upon completion of the event and prior to the opening of the roads and that a $1,000.00 deposit be made to the City, returnable to the organizers once the clean-up has been completed. AND FURTHER that Public Works, Timmins Police Service, Timmins Fire Department and Timmins Transit b e notified of this event.
Knights of Columbus re: Toll Booth BE IT RESOLVED THAT COUNCIL does hereby give permission to the Knights of Columbus to have a 'Toll Booth' on Main Street and Bruce Avenue in South Porcupine on May 25, 2019 for Muscular Dystrophy of Canada. AND FURTHER that liability insurance the amount of $5 million dollars be provided naming the City as additional named insured. AND FURTHER that Public Works, Timmins Police Service, Timmins Fire Department and Timmins Transit be notified of this event.
Porcupine Dante Club Festa Italia Cultural Days BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the City of Timmins hereby agrees to close Cedar Street between First and Second Avenue on Friday, July 26, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. and Sunday, July 28, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. AND FURTHER THAT an exemption to the City of Timmins Noise By-law No. 1983-1998 on Friday, July 26th, 2019 until 1:00 a.m. be permitted FURTHER that the Porcupine Dante club provide the City of Timmins with an insurance certificate in the amount of $5,000,000.00 naming the City as an additional named insured; and FURTHER THAT a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Timmins Police Service, Timmins Fire Department, Timmins Transit Department, Timmins Public Works Department and the Timmins Maintenance Department.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-law 2019-8322 being a by-law to authorize an agreement with SAFETEK Vehicles Ltd for the purchase of a new firetruck in the amount of $ 611,123.00 + HST be given third and final reading and be enacted and passed.
