MOTIONS OF COUNCIL Fete du Drapeau Franco-Ontarien re: Road Closure BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council agrees to close Algonquin Boulevard between Pine Street and Cedar Street on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 12:45pm until 2pm. FURTHER THAT Centre Culturel La Ronde provide the City of Timmins with an insurance certificate in the amount of $5,000,000.00 naming the City of Timmins as an additional insured; FURTHER THAT a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Timmins Police Service, Timmins Fire department, Timmins Transit Department, Timmins Public Works department and the Timmins Maintenance department.
Corporate Energy Conservation and Demand Management Plan BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council approves the updated Corporate Energy Conservation and Demand Management Plan (CECDMP) for the period of 2019-2024.
Main Street Revitalization Project BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council authorizes staff to proceed with requesting quotations for two proposed "Timmins" signs to be installed at the Timmins Transit bus terminal and the Timmins Museum National Exhibition Centre.
POA Write offs BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council approves provincial Offences Act fine write-offs in the amount of $235,114.76 representing 3,861 files.
HR Bielek BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council approves the Elderly Persons Centre Annual Program Expenditure Reconciliation Report (HR Bielek) for 2018.
2018 Reserve Transfer BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council does hereby approve the 2018 report for the unexpended balances in the amount of $6,422,700.00 to be reserved
2018 Unaudited Financials BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council accepts the annual surplus of $2,186,853.00 be transferred equally to the Tax Stabilization Reserve and the Working Fun Reserve as per the City of Timmins Reserve Policy.
Proposed Land Sale - Highway 655, Former Toyota Cold Weather Testing Site BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council accepts the Milman Industries Inc. proposal in the amount of $1,151,238.56 plus HST for the purchase of surplus land located at 1915 Highway 655; and FURTHER THAT Council directs staff to negotiate a purchase agreement and present an implementing by-law for Council's review and approval.
