a) Adoption/Receipt of Minutes BE IT RESOLVED THAT the following Minutes of Timmins Council be adopted as presented: Minutes of the Regular meeting held December 10, 2019 Minutes of the Budget meeting held December 17, 2019 BE IT RESOLVED THAT the following minutes be received: Minutes of the Municipal Accessibility Advisory Committee held November 20, 2019 b) Correspondence Letter from the Anti-Hunger Coalition Timmins re: Coldest Night of the Year c) First and Second Reading of By-Laws RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED THAT the following by-laws be given first and second reading: 2020-8400 being a by-law to amend by-law 1990-3464 respecting the operation of motorized snow vehicles in the City of Timmins 2020-8401 being a by-law to authorize the interim tax levy 2020-8402 being a by-law to authorize the borrowing by-law 2020-8403 being a by-law to sell land on McBride Street North to Blais Capital Inc. 2020-8404 being a by-law to deem 106 Bristol Road
MOTIONS OF COUNCIL AFMO, AMO, NEOMA and OGRA 2020 Membership Fees BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council approves the 2020 NEOMA Membership Fees in the amount of $480.00, the MEPCO Membership Fees in the amount of $3,618.83, the AMO Membership fees in the amount of $13,354.96, the 2020 AFMO Membership Fees in the amount of $3,258.14 and the OGRA Membership fees in the amount of $2,388.48.
Porcupine Watershed Public Liaison Committee BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council appoints Lorne Feldman to the Porcupine Watershed Public Liaison Committee
Coldest Night of the Year Walk 2020 BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council approve the Coldest Night of the Year Walk which will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2020, as per the attached map. AND FURTHER THAT liability insurance in the amount of $5 million dollars be provided naming the City of Timmins as additional named insured. AND FURTHER THAT a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Timmins Police Services, the Fire Department, Parks and Recreation, Timmins Transit a nd the Public Works Department.
2020 First Nations Evacuation Hosting BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council declared the City of Timmins to be the host community for 2020 First Nations Evacuation Hosting; and FURTHER that the City of Timmins continues to contract with Gervais Emergency Consulting for evacuation logistics management and planning.
2020-8400-Amend By-Law 1990-3436 re: Snowmobile Route Changes BE IT RESOLVED THAT BY-LAW 2020-8400 being a by-law to amend by-law 1990-3464 respecting the operation of motorized snow vehicles in the City of Timmins be given third and final reading and be enacted and passed.
2020-8401-Interim Tax Levy BE IT RESOLVED THAT BY-LAW 2020-8401 being a by-law to authorize the interim tax levy be given third and final reading and be enacted and passed.
