a) Adoption/Receipt of Minutes 41 - 49 BE IT RESOLVED THAT the following Minutes of Timmins Council be adopted as presented: Minutes of the Regular meeting held June 29, 2021 BE IT RESOLVED THAT the following Minutes be received: Minutes of the Board of Health Meeting held May 27, 2021 b) Correspondence 50 - 51 Resolution from the Township of Wainfleet re: Action on Invasive Phragmites 52 Letter from AMCTO re: Ashish Patel - Graduate of AMCTO's Diploma in Municipal Administration c) First and Second Reading of By-Laws RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED THAT the following by-laws be given first and second reading: By-law 2021-8581 being a by-law to enter into an agreement with Interpaving Ltd. regarding the Airport Road Sidewalk Phase III from Lamminen Blvd. to Bozzer Park By-law 2021-8582 being a by-law to enter into an Air Terminal Building Lease Agreement with Thunder Airlines for counter, office and baggage hold areas at the Timmins Victor M. Power Airport By-law 2021-8583 being a by-law to enter into an agreement with GFL Environmental regarding the wet well cleaning and maintenance services
Resolution of Support for the National Suicide Prevention Hotline WHEREAS the Federal Government has passed a motion to adopt 988, a National three-digit suicide and crisis hotline; AND WHEREAS the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has increased the demand for suicide prevention services by 200 percent; AND WHEREAS existing suicide prevention hotlines require the user to remember a 10-digit number and go through directories or be placed on hold; AND WHEREAS in 2022 the United States will have in place a national 988 crisis hotline; AND WHEREAS the Municipality of the City of Timmins recognizes that it is a significant and important initiative to ensure critical barriers are removed to those in a crisis and seeking help; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Municipality of the City of Timmins endorses this 988 crisis line initiative; and that Staff be directed to send a letter indicating such support to the local MP, MPP, Federal Minister of Health, the CRTC and local area municipalities to indicate our support.
2021-8581-Agreement with Interpaving Ltd. re: Airport Road Sidewalk - Phase III BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-law 2021-8581 being a by-law to enter into an agreement with Interpaving Ltd. regarding the Airport Road Sidewalk Phase III from Lamminen Blvd. to Bozzer Park be given third and final reading and be enacted and passed.
2021-8582-Air Terminal Building Lease re: Thunder Airlines BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-law 2021-8582 being a by-law to enter into an Air Terminal Building Lease Agreement with Thunder Airlines for counter, office and baggage hold areas at the Timmins Victor M. Power Airport in the City of Timmins be given third and final reading and be enacted and passed.
