Motion to Include the PSA Test for Men into the Medical Care BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council supports the attached resolution from the Town of Cochrane regarding a motion to Include the PSA Test for Men into the Medical Care.
Joint and Several Liability BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council supports the attached resolution from the Municipality of Leamington regarding a motion for Joint and Several Liability.
OHIP Eye Care in Ontario BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the City of Timmins supports the attached resolution from the Town of Oakville regarding the prioritization of OHIP Covered Eye Care.
Report on park located at the corner of Bellemare and King Street (hwy 101) BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council directs administration to bring a report to Council regarding the park located at the Corner of Bellemare and King Street (Hwy 101) and the City plan for the site.
Resolution of Support regarding the Timmins Opioid Drug Strategy WHEREAS the Council of the City of Timmins received a delegation from medical leadership in regards to the Timmins and Area Drug Strategy; AND WHEREAS immediate action is required to address the opioid crisis in the community; AND WHEREAS the Community Safety and Wellbeing Plan aims to enhance the safety and wellbeing of all Timmins’ residents; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of Timmins supports the establishment of a supervised consumption site; AND FURTHER THAT it supports funding an urgent public health needs site as an interim measure in the amount of $1,028,731 in 2021 while the application process for the Consumption and Treatment Services site is underway; AND FURTHER THAT the City of Timmins dedicate funding for a position to provide support and leadership in the development and implementation of collaborative community programs and services that address substance use; AND THAT a copy of this resolution be sent to the Premier, the Minister of Health, the Associate Minister of Health, the MP, the MPP, the NELHIN/Ontario Health, the Porcupine Health Unit, and the Timmins and District Hospital.
