Resolution of Support re: Fednor Funding Application BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the City of Timmins does hereby commit $467,972 to the Stratospheric Balloon Launch Expansion Project and supports an application to the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation’s Community Enhancement Program and to FedNor's Northern Ontario Development Program (NODP). Furthermore, the city is committed to covering any project-related cost overruns.

Urban Park BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the City of Timmins hereby agrees to close Third Avenue from Pine Street to Cedar Street and Third Street from Cedar Street to Balsam Street between the hours of 7:00 am until 4:00 pm every Wednesday from July 6, 2022 to August 31, 2022 to facilitate the Urban Park; FURTHER THAT the City provide 4 sets of 2 steel barricades and 12 of the base feet for the steel barricades and 8 orange traffic cones for the purpose of closing the streets on designated days which are to be delivered on July 5 to the Timmins Downtown BIA on-street storage container for use for the entire summer; AND FURTHER THAT the Downtown Timmins BIA provide the City of Timmins with an insurance certificate in the amount of 5 million dollars naming the City of Timmins as an additional insured; AND FURTHER THAT a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Timmins Police Service, Timmins Fire Department, Timmins Transit, Timmins Public Works Department, Timmins Maintenance Department, The Porcupine Health Unit and Enforcement Services.

StreetFest 2022 BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the City of Timmins hereby agrees to close Third Avenue from Spruce Street to Balsam Street and Pine Street from Algonquin Avenue to Second Avenue on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 7:00 am to Friday, July 15, 2022 at 4:00 pm for StreetFest 2022. Street closure includes overnight on July 13 and 14. The Downtown Timmins BIA will supply overnight security. FURTHER THAT the City provide 8 large garbage containers and 8 large recycling containers.
