MOTIONS OF COUNCIL La St-Jean Baptiste re: Street Closure BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council approves a request from the Timmins Public Library for the closure of Second Avenue from Spruce Street to Brunette Road on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 8:30 am until 7:30 pm for La St-Jean Baptiste; AND FUTHER THAT the City of Timmins provide barricades for road closure and extra garbage and recycling containers; AND FURTHER THAT an insurance certificate in the amount of 5 million dollars naming the City of Timmins as additional insured be provided; AND FURTHER THAT a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Timmins Fire Department, Timmins Police, Public Works Department, Maintenance Department and Transit Department.
Accept Donation of Property from the Porcupine Agriculture Society WHEREAS the City of Timmins has been approached by the Porcupine Agricultural Society to accept a donation of land and provide a tax receipt to the donor of the land; AND WHEREAS the City will grant a first right of refusal to the Porcupine Agricultural Society to use the land for its Farmers Market during the summer months and any other uses associated with the Society; AND WHEREAS the City will also agree to have an appraisal of the property completed to determine the donation value of the property; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of the Timmins agrees to the conditions mentioned above.
Approve Asset Management Plan BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council approve the updated current replacement values for core assets in the City of Timmins Asset Management Plan, as per the attached.
FONOM 2022 Membership Fees BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council approve The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities (FONOM) 2022 membership fee in the amount of $3,150.00
