Rock on the River re: Noise exemption BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the City of Timmins hereby approves an exemption to the City of Timmins Noise by-law 1986-1998 on Friday, July 22 from 11:00 pm until 1:00 am and on Saturday, July 23 from 11:00 pm until 1:00 am for Rock on the River; AND FURTHER THAT a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Timmins Police Service.
Stop up and Close re: Birch Street North WHEREAS the Council of the City of Timmins supports the stop up and close of Birch Street North lying North of Ninth Avenue and sell it directly to the Northeastern Catholic District School Board; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Council directs staff to continue with the stop up and close process.
Resolution of Support re: Resolution from the Town of Aurora - Private Member's Bill C-233 "Keira's Law" BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council supports the attached resolution from the Town of Aurora regarding the Private Member's Bill C-233 "Keira's Law".
Resolution of Support re: City of Cambridge - Request to the Province of Ontario for a Plan of Action to Address Joint and Several Liability BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council supports the attached resolution from the City of Cambridge regarding the request to the Province of Ontario for a Plan of Action to Address Joint and Several Liability.
MAT Tax BE IT RESOLVED That the council of the city of Timmins approves the allocation of the following funds from the 2021 City of Timmins portion of the MAT revenues received: $150,000.00 allocated to the Hollinger Park Festivals and Events Area $40,000.00 allocated to Tourism Timmins for various events $37,500.00 allocated to the purchase of garbage containers for downtown Timmins AND FUTHER THAT the $60,000.00 balance of the funds previously set aside for the Connaught Community Park in resolution 22-005 be paid this year.
